Cherry Tree

Mother's Day has been interesting the past few years. I want the day to be about my mom. But I also want recognition from my own little family about this role of "MOMMY" that has taken over my life. Lucky for me, Brian outdid himself for Mother's Day. A day later, I'm still impressed and feel special. It is hard to believe this is the same man who gave me a rain check on Valentine's Day. I did give several reminders that Mother's Day was coming up- for my own sake and his mother's sake. I clearly stated that I didn't want any gadgetry or electronical equipments. I wanted something from his heart, a note or sentimental something. I wish I wasn't shocked, but he delivered more than I expected! He wrote me a sweet letter and he bought me a tree, similar to the picture above. He wanted soemthing that would bloom every year around Mother's Day. I love those dark pink cherry blossoms...

That was sweet....and you can enjoy the tree all year long especially when in bloom.
Sounds like you had a great Mother's Day!

I love the fact that this is a gift that will keep on giving. How perfect for mother's day. It's beautiful.

I'm happy to read that you had such a memorable and special day.

Warmest wishes

What an extraordinay gift! This is probably the most original idea I've ever read.

I wonder what he'll give you next year and what you'll be giving him for father's day??? There's still some time left to think about it...

That is so sweet! What a beautiful tree too. I hope yours grows really big - again, too sweet. My husband does really bad for most holidays and then once in awhile he will make up for all of them. Never a tree, though!
