Mendon Ponds Park
Sept 11, 2011
After watching the 9/11 memorial service this morning, we took the kids to a gorgeous park to run around. What a great place to remember all that I'm thankful for...my country, my home and most of all my little family who can make me smile.
Me: Watch out for that horse poop!
Kaylee: I think that's gerbil poop.
Me: Ok.
I'm not one to argue with a 4 year old, but I don't think she's ever seen a gerbil... because they are about the size of horse poop.
Joshua: Hey! I see Alvin over there!
Kaylee: Me too!
Alvin, as in "Alvin and the Chip-monks" . I kept my mouth shut, and just laughed.
Joshua: Dad, are you sure we're not going to get lost out here?
Brian: Yes, I know where we are. Did you know that's the reason your mom married me? I'm good with directions. You can't rely on your good looks alone, son. You gotta have brains too.
Kaylee: I think there’s a crocodile in that lake.
Kaylee liked this “star” shaped tree root. And I thought it was pretty awesome too.

such a beautiful post... i am glad you all got to spend time together outside as a family in the sunshine.
I love how you share the things the kids said...so fun to read and they are there for you to remember later.
