I'm so crafty....

This picture made my day! That's what I look like these days and that's about all I'm doing. I read a great article this week that has really stuck with me. The author said that there are different seasons in life and we need to have different expectations of ourselves and our productivity level for each. I'm the type of person who gets a rush from completing a project or decorating or doing something that has a finite and fantastic ending. I have at least 10 short projects that I'm dying to try, (and a few really big ones that I'm not going to allow brain power for) but I'm just getting no where on them. I need to adjust my expectations.

I'm in a phase of life right now where nothing ever ends. My full time job just keeps on going and going and the calls won't stop until this baby comes out. (hurry it up!) The laundry, dishes, floor, bathtime, diaper changes and fingernail clipping never EVER come to an end. This pregnancy will at some point be over and I will once again have energy to do fun, finite projects that make me happy. I will, right? RIGHT?

Right now, I'm slow moving. It took me 4 days to mail a package to my brother. One day to find a box. One day to put items in the box. One day to address and tape up the box. One day to drive to UPS. Something that once took me 15 minutes now took 4 days, but I accomplished it.

That's hilarious! It's totally you. :) I am always amazed as I read your posts about your latest craft projects. Very talented and creative!

Okay, that picture was made for you, Amy Jo! I am the same way with getting things done, so don't feel bad, because you are over there babymaking (and I definitely don't have that excuse)! :) When are you going on maternity leave? Oh, and did I ask you for a preggo pic yet?!? Oh, I did? Well, just to be sure, when are you gonna post a pic?!? Huh? Huh? Sorry, I'm just excited for you! :)

:) I saw that they sell t-shirts with this logo/image on it. Funny.
You are still way more energetic than me. We just hung up some curtains that I made for Ian's room - over 6 months ago!!!

I'm with Carole on this - Your "low-level" energy level is still way more than my regular energy level. I have something I've been meaning to mail to my aunt - and it's been almost a year! 4 days would be awesome to me, but I know what you mean. It's frustrating to not have the energy you want and need when you're used to having more energy.

Hmmm. You are sounding a lot like me. Except that I was never that crafty to begin with...

Welcome to life with three (and less brain cells)!
