Did you vote?

We took the whole family out to vote this afternoon. We waited in line for 35 minutes with 2 toddlers. That's exactly what I wanted to do after 2.5 hours of sleep. At least the sunny weather gave me reason to smile.

When we lived in the city we could get in and out of our voting location in 3 minutes tops. I guess people in the city don't vote? Or they have better organization? It was nice to see so many people giving up time today to wait in line to exercise their right to vote. It felt patriotic in some way and the old lady in front of us was sweet.

Joshua has an ear infection. Kaylee has a cough and some kind of virus. I'm not sure if I'll be able to stay awake long enough to see the results of the 2008 vote.

Did you vote this year? (If you didn't, don't tell me because I'll be mad.)
How long was your wait?
Will you stay up all night to watch the votes come in?

Hi Amy Jo!

Yup, we went to vote this morning. It was less than 5 mintues from our house. Brought our 2.5 years old boy. I went to vote first then hubby did his, we took turns with taking care of Joe.

We were in and out within 10 mintues. Thank God. I don't think I could handle the long line with a kid.. Yikes!

You get some rest and hope the kids feel better real soon. xo

Yes, we ABSOLUTELY voted today. My niece was off of school today, so I brought the whole crew into the voting booth with me...6 of us! The lady who works there said we broke the record for the most people in the voting booth at one time, LOL! We only had to wait just a few minutes, and we are currently watching the news now. I'll probably stay up to watch, or at least until midnight or so. It will be interesting!

I voted! Yes, yes, yes I did. Alone (hubby went hunting and was on his way home to vote) with my 4 and 8 year old. I waited patiently for 2 1/2 hours but I VOTED. I'm so glad I did. At least I'll be able to sleep tonight knowing I did what was right. I'll look tomorrow to find out who won...tonight...I'm not sure I want to know.

Well you know from my blog that we most certainly voted...not sure how late I will stay up as I have to work tomorrow...but I think I will have the gist of it by the time I go off to bed. Our polling place is in O's school so I could have walked but did not as I had to go to the book fair also...i was in and out in less than 5 minutes at about 1:15 in the afternoon. Walked right up to my district table where my dutiful neighbor always sits volunteering and was in and out with my sticker which I proudly wore all day and to volunteer at the book fair tonight.

I am so proud every time I step into a voting booth because so many women before me were not afforded that right. I vote in honor of those women who fought for us to have this now basic right.
Go America!

I am a little late, but of course I voted! I only had to wait about 10 minutes. I tried to stay up last night, but I didn't make it. I got online at about 4 am to see the results! :)
