I did it! I now have #6 on my list of simple things that make me happy. Instead of washcloths and wet bibs hanging all over my kitchen sink, I now have this system set up. The bars and hook were extras around my house, so it was a FREE project. This is the wall that goes down to my basement, where the washing machine is located.
And this is what it looks like when put to use:
The blue checkered thing is a bag I made out of an old curtain. It hold the random laundry I find around the first floor of the house.
The basement door is in my kitchen and is always kept closed. This wall of wet stuff is close by, but out of sight, thank God. Who'd want to look at that ugly display of washcloths and bibs and poopy onsies? When I head down the stairs to do laundry, I just grab what's hanging there and throw it in my basket.
(Thanks for your comments on this issue! They helped me think through what would work for my house.)

Now THAT is a great idea. Good work AJ!!! ~Erin
This is a really good idea! I am always at a loss wondering what to do with all the many wet things that accumulate throughout the day. Do I have to stick them in the wash right then and there? :) Hmm... I'll have to think about a place to do this at my house.
It was fun to see you for a little this morning. Are you happy with your bag selection?
Good idea! And best of all: it was free (I love it when you can put something you already have to good use).
