The littlest cheerleader

If baseball teams had cheerleaders, she would have been the littlest one at the game. The baseball event was a total disaster, from Brian's point of view. Traffic was very bad, the border crossing was backed up, Kaylee was crying most of the ride, we didn't have time for dinner, we arrived late, he didn't pay for parking so we got a ticket, and we got home at 2:30AM. And to top it off, the Cubs didn't even win. Brian and Kaylee were absolutely miserable, and I couldn't believe I tried so hard to plan this trip. I think a better Father's Day present would have been to bake some cookies and let him watch the game at home without any interruptions. I'll have to remember that for next year.

Ok, so that could be the saddest story ever! While I feel for everyone else . . . Poor You!!! It was a GREAT try Amy Jo. And while he may not be able to say it now, with time I'm sure Brian will say, "That was such a sweet gift that year you took me to the ball game." Well, either that or, "Remember that time . . . " :-) You're a good wife and mother. Hopefully you'll be able to laugh about it soon!

Oh no I am sorry you had such a long night. It's still the thought that counts right!

How disappointing....all the thought and time that went in...I must say it is almost always better on tv....I thought you were so brave to take the babe with you sorry :( I was thinking what a good wifey you were and how my gifts were so routine...

Well you get lots of cool points in my book for planning that!

Low key is probably best with small kids!

That sounds horrible! She sure is cute, though. And at least B will be glad that Father's Day only comes ONCE a year!

Aw, bummer! But I have to tell you, you have the cutest little girl ever!!! Thanks for stopping by my blog-- how did the ABCs go? It gets a little tedious, I'm tired of that song! But whatever works... ugh! lol

oh mu gosh, can I erase my comment!?!?!? I'm so sorry! I didn't realize that I wrote 'girl' until I came back here to comment back... what the heck!? I'm so sorry!!! Anyways- I know it's really long. With my youngest I only do it one time! I used to do 3 rounds with Jake but just started with 4. He has a mouth FULL of teeth! Have a great week! -Megan

Or not! What is wrong with me!?! Maybe it's the *screaming* 7-month old on my lap or my lack of brain cells from 7 months of sleep deprivation... So after posting yet another comment, I SKIM read your post (that's my problem!) & looked at the pic... and Kaylee is definitely a GIRL. And a darling one at that. But on the comment you sent me, you said "he". You must have two little ones. I'll have to figure it out later, when my kids are HAPPY (napping?) and I actually have time to READ the full posts. Sorry, my brain is just fried! I'm going to go climb in a hole now. (And stop ignoring my kids!) :)

Awwwww..That's disappointing. It's such a bummer when we plan something in our minds and it just doesn't work out the way we envisioned. Although I'm sure this will be a story that you get a few chuckles out off down the road.

Oh, that sucks. I still get so frustrated sometimes trying to keep some semblance of our former relationship/spontaneity/personal hygiene standards and never quite managing to pull it off with babies literally pulling on your pants legs the whole time. Someday you'll go with, say, elementary (middle?) school kids, who will love every minute of it and make it worth this year's trauma.

Thanks for the post at my site, btw.
