Let us eat cake!

In honor of our fabulous boss's birthday today, we had a cake decorating competition at work. I think there was a total of 7 entries. One was really sad and drooping strawberries so I didn't take a photo.

Here's the carrot cake, shaped like a carrot next to the pink ladybug.
This is the one I brought. I take credit for baking it and making the frosting. However all credit for the water-color frosting goes to Emily. I didn't mean for her to do the whole thing, honest. But she was on a roll and it looked so pretty...I just stayed out of the way and was happy to have it done.
Here's a fancy pants cake and penguin made without a cake mold.
This is my girlfriend Jennifer's. I could tell even before I asked her. She is the QUEEN of decorating cakes, and she stayed up till 2am to make this transformer cake. She also didn't use a cake mold, but shaped it out of 7 sheets of cake. I totally hope she wins, even if the prize is just a $10 Starbucks card.

The Transformer cake would definitely get my vote (and that of my son as well!!). That's one amazing cake.

Did you get to eat them all afterwards?
