Sweater Refashion

This wool sweater holds lots of memories for me. My college roommate bought 2 of them from the Express and we wore them constantly. At some point after college, she shrunk the sleeves and it became mine permanently. Because I've gained some weight in the past few years, it hasn't fit me well. I've almost donated it a dozen times, but I just can't! Last night I decided to make some "adjustments". I cut off the sleeves and cut down the middle to make it into a short sleeve cardigan. I added 3 buttons to keep it closed at the top. It fits my ever growing tummy a little better now.
I might be able to wear a long sleeved shirt underneath. I'll try that, since it's still 30 degrees outside this week. What do you think? Is this an improvement? It hasn't been worn in a few years, but I'm wearing it right now so I guess that's something.

Super cute!! I love it! I think it is an "improvement" just because you didn't toss it..you made it work for you :-)

I love it! You made it look very "in" with the short sleeves and 3 buttons at the top.

As for the "ever growing tummy" comment, I think we all weigh a little more than our pre-kids self did, but couldn't help but wonder if you were trying to tell us something!?

You always have such a creative way of looking at things, and I love that about you!
