Something out of Nothing

I'm crazy about these little flowers. The original tutorial can be found on Sew Ritzy's website, but I found out about it through Infarrantlly Creative. Mine are simpler than either of theirs, (which makes it faster to make) and I'm thrilled with the results. I am making them completly out of scraps of fabric and things I already have in the house.

I love a really cute project that costs me nothing; it's satisfying to make something out of nothing!

I made one into a pin and stuck it on my red wool pea coat. It looks cute! I put a hair clip onto the second red flower, even though I'm not crazy about flowers in my hair. I wore it to work one day and got a lot of compliments....and I love compliments.

Here's a couple more I made over the weekend. Both are pins....and probably what I'll send out for the handmade pay it forward. I may try making some with 8 petals, or two layers of petals.

I am excited about the opportunity to pay it forward to send some love around in our blogging neighbhood.

Would you please pay the muse a little visit and help her reach her 200th comments so $1000.00 dollars will be donated to the American cancer society.

No pressure of what ever you make for me. I am just excited to win in something:-) I think I will draw on my daughters fabulous talents to help me make something for the for the Muse and other friends who comments on mine.

Thanks for your goodness and offering this fun endeavor. I hope it takes off!

I am going to make your snickerdoodles today=)

That is so cute! I love that idea. I need to make one quick to add to my gift my for my secret pal when we reveal who we are next week. Plus I will get to find out whose secret pal I was. We do this at our church. We will also draw new names too. Can't wait. Better check out that tutorial you linked to your post.
