Christmas Mantle

This is the first year I've decked out a mantle. We had a really great wooden mantle at the old house, but somehow I never really did much with it. I wasn't reading blogs back then, and I'm sure that's a giant correlation. I found this post on the Nester's mantle garland and decided to see if I could pull off something beautiful.

I found all this stuff in my basement. Seriously, I didn't buy a single thing. All I can say is that before we had kids, one of our budget categories said "Joann Fabrics".

There are 2 strands of the cheesy evergreen garland.
One strand of red beads
One strand of fake ivy
One strand of lights
One strand of white flowers (saved from my wedding)
Some random flowers tucked in.

Check out the links over at the Nester's blog for more garland inspiration!

When you have a sec, could you please drop by our house and add that to our mantle? Oh, and before you do that, could you build us a mantle?!? Thanks, Amy Jo! Knowing your crafty skills, you'd be home by lunchtime. :)
