"A good story"

At bedtime, if Kaylee goes down easy, Joshua and I spend time snuggling and talking in his bed. This is the most relaxing time of our day, although I know it is to be followed by crying and screaming the moment I leave his room and say good night.

I usually say a goodnight prayer, thanking God for all our blessings, for the friends that we saw, for safe travels to where ever we went, ask for patience to be the mom that I want to be and throw in a little request for no accidents in Joshua's bed. After I say, "In Jesus name, AMEN", he always says to me, "That was a good story mom!"

That is cute! I remember one Thanksgiving when my son was almost 3. I was pregnant with my daughter at the time. We always had Thanksgiving at my grandmother's house for many years. Usually we said "Come Lord Jesus" for our table prayer. But this time my grandfather did a prayer. After eating for awhile, all of a sudden my son says to my mom, "Grandma, we didn't say "Come Lord Jesus"! So of course we all stopped eating and said the prayer. I will always remember that Thanksgiving.

AJ, Not sure if you have already discussed this with your doc but our pediatrician told us that it would be a very long time before Tia would be able to wake up dry from the night. She does fine most times during naps but night time is so long and they sleep so sound. He said we would probably be using diapers or pull ups until she is 4.
I hope this gives you some relief.
