5 years ago, this little guy made me a mom.

My dearest Joshua,
When I look at your baby photos, which I do often, I marvel at your sweet, happy little face with vibrant blue eyes.   I usually say, "I miss that little baby!"  You were an amazing first baby...absolutely perfect. 

But now your a big boy and things have started to change.   You have opinions and attitudes and feelings that don't always fit with mine.   You are turning into a real person, someone that I can converse with and laugh with.   Some of my favorite moments are spent in your company, especially before bed.  We read stories, then snuggle and talk about the day.   I love your sense of humor and the way you throw your head back and laugh when something hits you the right way.    I am respectful of your desire to learn and read.  I will always encourage you and hope that you continue to search for something new to learn.   I am impressed that you can work our TV Media Center better than me.    I am touched every time I see you playing with Kaylee and Gracie, making them giggle.
