New nightstand

BEFORE:

This is another item that Brian got from his mom when he went to college. I believe it's the first piece of furniture that his mom and dad bought together. If I'm right, then it's about 37 years old. Not too bad looking, right? Actually, it looks downright beautiful in that picture. It's a serious piece of furniture...solid oak. Don't hate me... I just wanted it to be black.

AFTER

I spray painted the hinges and that plate thing silver (and all the wood screws too!). After a few years of sitting around in the basement, it's status has been elevated to storing our junk and holding the printer. I'd consider that a carreer changing promotion.

Ok, so I totally wanted to comment on this but it didn't work. I'm so glad it's working now. You know, the next time I'm in Rochester I'm totally coming to your house. I'm convinced that it must look like something directly from the pages of Pottery Barn. Great job on the night stand!!! Who cares if it's real wood . . . one day when you're bored you can strip the paint off and re-stain it if you feel the need :-) ~Erin
